Don't get me wrong. I know as a white European and especially a German it easy to say and I know it's easy to be misunderstood and that I grew up pretty privileged in contrast to other people. I don't say, that racism is not real. I don't say that harassment, suppression, branding and prejudices aren't real.
I know that there is no such thing as equality or eye level. For more than 35 years, I've witnessed and experienced hostility myself for just being who you are. (1/2)

Yes, the master branch can be seen in a master-slave relationship or as a progressive term from apprentice (i.e. immature) to master (i.e. stable and grown) code.
I personally have never associated blacklist and whitelist with racism. I think, these terms are more related to go-area and no-go-areas (as seen in contamination scenarios) than to oppression. (2/2)
